We are trained in The Center Method for Diastasis Recti Recovery.
Diastasis Recti is the painless splitting and softening of the fascia that holds the rectus admoninus (6-pack muscles). It can happen with men or women. For women splitting can occur during pregnancy or labor and delivery. For men, diastasis recti can occur with excessive weight gain in the belly region, exercising with improper form and or lifting something heavy, similar to a hernia. At Pilates with Anne we will assess if you have Diastasis Recti, however we recommend a second opinion by a doctor or midwife. We will then create a program based on exercise, self massage and fascia release to help you recover. We want you to feel confident and healthy in your new body.
