Headshot - Vickie

Vickie (Moore) D’Angelo

Certified Pilates Teacher

Vickie Studied Art History at Sonoma State University and Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2008. Following school, Vickie dove right in to the professional world. After several years in the Hospitality and Event Planning industry she was burnt out and looking for a way to de-stress and find balance in her life. In 2010 she was introduced to Pilates on the Reformer and was instantly hooked! Being a former athlete, runner and soccer player, Vickie has always been competitive and driven to perfection. Pilates not only improved Vickie’s body awareness , it toned and leaned her muscles, fostered a new sense of agility and grace, but it also calmed her stress, helped to alleviate migraines and gave her a new vibrant confidence that she never experienced before. After three years of practicing Pilates Vickie chose to become an instructor. For the past year and a half she has trained under the Balanced Body  University model with Chantill Lopez and Kristen Luppenlatz at the Pilates Collective. She looks forward to beginning her career at Downtown Pilates with Anne and is very excited to start working with clients who are seeking an alternative exercise to boring gym workouts and unsuccessful self-practice. Vickie also took The Booty Barre teacher training course and brings her energetic teaching style to create refreshing and fun classes.

Abby Hanc

Abby Hanc

Apprentice Pilates Teacher

Little did Abby know at the young age of four, that the fun and boisterous movements she was doing resembling “scissors in the air” would be the start of her love of Pilates. Eighteen years later, Abby found herself graduating from Roger Williams University with a Bachelors in Psychology and a core interest in Equine-Facilitated Therapy. Soon thereafter, she began to expand her education into all facets of the equestrian world. She was introduced to a woman who was a Classical Dressage rider and a Pilate’s instructor. Abby began going to her studio for mat classes and was astonished at the difference it was making in her body and in her riding! It was during this time that Abby realized how her asymmetries were affecting her horse’s performance. By studying and training in Pilate’s she regained symmetry and strength that had been lost due to many years of injury and compensation. After two years of practicing Pilate’s with her mentor, Abby took a huge leap of faith and moved across the country to California for an opportunity in Classical Dressage training. Once settled in California, Abby began searching for a Pilate’s studio. She found Pilates with Anne and began training with Vicki who helped guide Abby into following her dream of becoming an instructor. Abby began the Pilates Academy International Teacher training program with Anne in April of 2016.

Abby is excited to continue her education with PAI and to be student teaching at Pilates with Anne.
